Curriculum
At Mt. Moriah, we offer a rigorous curriculum that focuses on the fundamentals of Reading, Language Arts and Math. Using a variety of materials, teachers instruct students in the mechanics of reading while also encouraging them to read independently. In addition to our strong focus on Reading, Language Arts, and Math, students receive daily instruction in Social Studies and a Science curriculum. Students also receive instruction in Art, Music, Ethics, Christian Education.
The atmosphere at Mt. Moriah Christian Academy is one of love and family. Our intimate environment allows the Academy’s faculty and administration to know each students strengths and weaknesses. Our small class size, allows for a high degree of individualized attention and student-teacher parent interaction.

Religion
The Christian training offered at Mt. Moriah Christian Academy is intended to be an extension of the training received in the home and in the Church which the family attends, Teachers provide Bible instruction in varied forms on a daily basis, seeking to establish the Word of God as the foundation of the student’s way of life. The intent is not simply to familiarize the child with the Bible, but also to give an in-depth study of God’s plan for His children as it relates to salvation, the Holy Spirit, and all worship. Bible verses will be committed to memory, and prayers and songs of praise offered to the Savior. Students will attend Chapel at least once a week, where they will be participants in the worship services. Practical application of Christian ethic is the primary objective of these activities.
Literature
Students will be exposed to various forms literature: nonfiction, novels, short stories, and poetry all enriching and informative. Materials will be selected which enhance the self image and reflect the life styles, values and cultural heritage of the children and families of the school.
Mathematics
A variety of sequentially developed techniques and materials are employed in the teaching of mathematics, in order to maintain a life related learning environment that is both comfortable and challenging for each student.
Social Studies.
The Social Studies Curriculum draws from the disciplines of geography, history, and economics. Students will develop an understanding and appreciation of their own history and culture, as well as that of others.
