MMCA Student Life

Mt. Moriah Christian Academy offers an ever expanding number of activities for the students to become apart of. We believe that participation in extracurricular activities is a valuable experience, which all students should have an opportunity to pursue. The goals and objectives of our school activities support the vision, mission, & philosophy of Mt. Moriah Christian Academy.

Our activities contribute to the academic, social, emotional, physical and spiritual development of the students who participate in them. In addition, our activities allow our children an opportunity to discern their talent as well as afford them with an opportunity to develop that gift.

Children can choose to participate in Choir, Chess Club, Robotics Club, Praise Dance, Basketball Clinics, Tennis Clinics, Debate Team, Drama Club and our Student Organizational Government.

Tennis

Mt. Moriah Christian Academy is excited to announce our USTA membership. All levels are welcome. To play tennis well you need technical skills, physical (speed, agility, endurance, flexibility) and mental and emotional skills. We have a no-cut policy and our focus is on improvement.
The tennis season is short. Students should participate because tennis is fun, it is a lifelong sport, keeps you fit and we welcome everyone. If you have not played tennis before you can sign up as a 5th grader or higher we will teach you; you will learn to play and compete.

Lego Robotics Club

Our LEGO Robotics Club teaches students as they engage at every level, providing hands-on experiences that stimulate communication, creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking skills. When students learn with LEGO® bricks, coding tools, and supporting lesson plans for teachers, they ignite their natural curiosity and sharpen their scientific inquiry, engineering design, and data analysis skills — so they can succeed in their STEM classes today and realize their full potential as digital citizens and leaders tomorrow.

Chess Club

Mt. Moriah's Chess Club is a great opportunity for students to learn and practice a game that goes beyond the board and teaches many important skills that are applicable through life. We are confident that by learning and playing the game of chess, our student's performance in the classroom will be improved.

The Moriah Chess Club will be open to all students in 3rd through 8th grades. No experience is necessary. We only ask that students show up with an interest in learning the game and developing skills.

Basketball

The 2020 Mt. Moriah Basketball Clinic will provide all students from 3rd Grade to the 8th Grade with a structured basketball learning experience that encourages team participation and personal development.  The clinic will focus on improving student's skills while emphasizing offense, defense, shooting, and game fundamentals.
